Summer Camp!

The Southeast Deanery is planning a camp this summer, August 5-10. The block of time is reserved at the Methodist Camp in Juneau. The Executive Committee is recruiting volunteers to help plan this even. Please contact Fr. Dave, Mim McConnell, or Fr. Gordon if you would like to help. One of the first things to decide is if this will be a youth, and/or family camp event.

Bishops's Tea House

Help Needed! Volunteer hostesses/hosts are needed for the Bishop's Tea House. If you are interested in helping please contact Ginny Wood at 747-8728 or 738-1182

Blessing of the Bikes

On May 11 at 2pm at the Crescent Harbor Shelter there will be a Blessing of the Bikes. This is in honor of National Bike to Work Week.

Outreach Committee

There will be a committee meeting on April 27 at 10:15 in the See House.

Pioneers' Home Ministry

Fr. Dave is looking for help with the 1:00 pm Sunday service at the Pioneers' Home. It would be very helpful to have a cadre of volunteers who would arrive at the home by 12:30 pm, go to the resident's rooms to see if they would like to attend the service, request assistance from the staff to transport the residents to and from the Chapel. 2009 Southeast Deanery Convocation

St. Peter's has the honor of hosting the 2009 Southeast Deanery Convocation. This event will take place April 23-26. The Vestry is recruiting a volunteer to chair St. Peter's Hospitality Committee for this event. This committee will make arrangements for housing, meals and local transportation for our guests. Please contact Fr. Dave or any member of the Vestry if you are interested in this important ministry.

Farewell Reception

There will be a farewell reception for Mtr. Julie Abbott-Jones Sunday April 20 at 12:30pm in the See House. Please come celebrate her ordination, give your goodbyes and wish her well in her hospital chaplaincy ministry.
